Founder Story

I’m Loren Wood, founder of Philly Data Guy. Most companies are trying to use AI before their data is ready. I help fix that.

My background blends finance, operations, and BI leadership. I started out in finance (B.S. in Finance, Drexel University), spent early career years at UPS in payroll, revenue protection, and cost supervision, and grew through BI consulting (including QlikView implementations) into director-level data, BI, analytics, and governance leadership.

I’ve built dashboards, governance frameworks, and analytics teams across manufacturing, finance, supply chain, operations, and life sciences. I’ve worked with Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Snowflake, Collibra, Informatica, master data, and enterprise reporting.

Philly Data Guy brings that experience to growing businesses — at fractional cost, in plain English, with a strong respect for the way SMBs actually run.
